Financial Assistance application

The Blaine County Charitable Fund provides assistance to individuals living and/or working in Blaine County who are experiencing financial hardshaip due to an unanticipated crisis.

  • To apply for a direct aid grant, applicants must: Currently live and/or work full-time in Blaine County, and document the financial hardship related to an unanticipated crisis.

  • BCCF encourages applicants to access all available local, state and federal resources first. For this reason, we will be referring people to the Idaho Housing Preservation Program as a first step. If you do not qualify for these funds, you can apply for assistance from BCCF.

  • Examples of crisis may include (but may not limited to): terminal illness or death, severe illness and/or urgent medical care, pandemic and natural disaster.

  • At this time, priority is given during this time to crisis related to the COVID-19 pandemic and those who have taken initial steps to address their financial crisis.

  • Applicants should be 18 years of age or older. If a financial crisis is due to the illness or injury of a child, the “applicant” is the child’s parent or legal guardian.

  • Grant funds may not be used for funerals, burial expenses, or elective procedures.

  • The BCCF provides one time crisis assistance, so we encourage you to consider expenses that will enable to keep you in your home and basic needs related to that when completing your application.  If you are in a renewed crisis, we can consider your reapplication.

  • The BCCF may fund all, part, or none of your request.

  • The BCCF may, at its sole discretion, choose to pay applicant expenses directly.

  • Applications are reviewed by the BCCF Board of Directors monthly, but during the COVID-19 pandemic the board will attempt weekly review. This review typically (though not always) occurs on the first Tuesday of each month, or the Tuesday of each week during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Applications are due the last day of the prior week/month for consideration. (i.e. submit application by Friday to be reviewed the following Wednesday or by December 31st for review in January).

  • Please include physician documentation, paystubs, and relevant bills with application.
